    Privacy policy

This policy explains how Prostnow handles personal information when you use our websites, dashboard, and services for cross-posting, scheduling, and managing content across connected social platforms.

    Last updated:

    1. Who we are

Prostnow ("Prostnow," "we," "us," or "our") provides software that helps you publish and manage social and content workflows from one workspace. When this policy refers to "personal information" or "personal data," we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual, directly or indirectly.

If you have questions, contact us at privacy@prostnow.com.

    2. Information we collect

    2.1 Account and identity

When you sign up or sign in, we collect identifiers such as your email address, name (if you provide it), user ID, and profile details from our authentication provider. This allows us to secure your Account and personalize essential parts of the Service.

    2.2 Billing

If you purchase a paid plan, our payment processor collects payment method details and transaction data. We receive limited billing information (for example, subscription status, last four digits of a card, or invoice identifiers) needed to administer your subscription and comply with financial record-keeping.

    2.3 Content and product usage

We store User Content you create in Prostnow—such as drafts, captions, media you upload, scheduled posts, and publishing history you generate through the Service. We also collect usage data: actions in the dashboard, feature usage, approximate device and browser metadata, IP address, and timestamps to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

    2.4 Connected Platforms

When you connect a social or content account, the platform may share a token or credential that lets Prostnow act within the permissions you grant (for example, publishing on your behalf). We do not receive or store your password for those platforms. We may cache limited profile or page metadata needed to show which accounts are connected and to route posts correctly.

    2.5 Cookies and similar technologies

We and our vendors use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for session security, preferences, analytics, and to remember you when you return. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling some cookies may limit certain features.

    2.6 Communications

If you contact support, subscribe to updates, or respond to product surveys, we retain those messages and related metadata to assist you and improve the Service.

    3. How we use information

    We use personal data to:

    • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service (including publishing flows)
    • Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and protect security
    • Process payments, fulfill subscriptions, and send billing-related notices
    • Debug, analyze usage, and improve performance and product design
    • Communicate about the Service, including transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing you can opt out of
    • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and defend legal claims

    4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract with you; legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights (for example, securing the Service and understanding aggregate usage); consent where required (such as certain cookies or marketing); and legal obligation.

    5. How we share information

We share personal data with vendors who process it on our instructions ("processors"), such as cloud hosting, database and backend infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing. We require these parties to protect the data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

When you instruct us to publish to a Connected Platform, content and related metadata are transmitted to that platform under your authorization; their use of that information is governed by their policies.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Prostnow, our users, or the public. We may also share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, with notice where required.

We do not sell your personal information as "sale" is defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

    6. Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After deletion requests or Account closure, we may retain certain records as described on our Data deletion page and as required by law (for example, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations). Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained for analytics.

    7. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online service is completely secure; please use strong passwords and protect your devices.

    8. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including where our vendors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

    9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise rights, contact privacy@prostnow.com or use in-product controls where available. We may verify your request before responding.

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. Essential service and billing notices may continue.

    10. California residents

If the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies, you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, and certain disclosures. We do not sell personal information or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law. You may designate an authorized agent as permitted by law.

    11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the digital consent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

    12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (such as email or an in-app message) where appropriate.
