Step 2: Account Warmup Protocol
Step 2: Account Warmup Protocol
Section 3 of 7
CRITICAL: DO NOT POST FOR 7 DAYS! Skip this and the algorithm can bury your new account's content.
Why warm up? Do you need to?
The top mistake in organic marketing is skipping warmup — or using an old account with bad history in the wrong niche. The easiest way to avoid “0 view jail” on TikTok and Instagram is to warm up a new account for about 7 days. Warmup means no posting, but using the account like a human who cares about the content they watch.
The algorithm needs to understand your niche before you post. What you engage with is often the first audience your content is shown to. Skipping warmup can flag you as a bot — and you may get stuck at 0–100 views on early posts.
Seven days is the safest warmup window. Three days can work, but 7 days reduces the chance you have to pause posting and warm up again.
When you start posting: use the mobile apps for the first ~10 posts, not the web or an API. After you get consistent views, tools like Prostnow are great for scheduling at scale.
Today's mission
Scroll in your niche (~15 minutes per day)
Only scroll content related to your app or niche.
Engage naturally
Follow accounts, watch full videos, like, leave real comments — behave like a person, not a bot.
Save viral content
Save videos with strong traction that you could recreate for your niche.
No posting
Do not post on a new account until you have finished this warmup rhythm.
Step 2 checklist
- Day 2: 15 min scrolling each platform + comment, reply, follow relevant accounts
- Day 3: 15 min scrolling each platform + comment, reply, follow relevant accounts
- Day 4–8: Repeat day 2 + save 3–5 videos you can recreate per day
