Riding Trends
Section 5 of 7
Trends are a strong way to build momentum on newer accounts. Momentum can lift all of your videos — including older ones — which is why consistency matters.
Timing matters. When you spot a trend early enough, you can adapt it to your niche and earn extra reach on top of your baseline content.
Quick example
When a format or sound is everywhere, a few timely posts that fit your product can outperform your usual clips — even if you are not first. The boost may not last forever, but it can drive meaningful downloads or signups.
What are trends and why use them?
Trends are sounds, formats, or topics the algorithm is amplifying. If you adapt a trend to your niche quickly, you can earn extra distribution beyond your normal audience curve.
Missions when you see a trend
- Adapt the trending format to your business within ~48 hours when possible.
- Post it alongside regular content — do not replace proven formats entirely.
How to spot and use trends
Early trend spotting
Look for sounds or formats with growing use counts — not only the biggest hits.
Quick adaptation
When a trend is everywhere, remix it for your niche within a day or two.
Mix it up
Most posts should still be evergreen or proven winners. Add only a couple of trend-led posts per week unless you are explicitly testing.
Trends checklist
- Find a trending sound or format with meaningful usage
- Adapt it to your niche quickly
- Publish and compare reach to your baseline posts
